2 pints vegetable broth
4 garlic cloves
10 basil leaves
1 celery stalk
1 carrot
4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 oz parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Here is what you need to make it:

12 oz fresh lasagne pasta sheets
½ celery stalk, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
about ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil2 cups tomato passata (pureed tomatoes)
1-2 zucchini, washed and diced
1 eggplant, washed and diced (peel or don’t peel, as you choose)
1 carrot, peeled and chopped
3 ½ ounces dry white wine
1 lb whole milk ricotta
2-3 oz grated pecorino cheese
salt to taste
pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper
